Some people I knew wanted to do Black Adam and Isis, and asked if I was interested in doing evil Mary Marvel. Having not really done too many villains I thought it would be fun.

Since there really isn’t much at all to this costume, so I wanted to make sure it was all about the fabric. Immediately latex came to mind. Nothing says evil like latex! I contacted Vesperi Latex and we collaborated with this costume, and the design of the lines. As always I went for my favorite, princess seams. The lightning bolt is slightly translucent to add a bit allure of the costume . I had debated having the gloves attach to the sleeve, but I felt being able to take my gloves off to do something was more important than having them secured to the sleeve, you know incase I needed to scratch my nose.

Latex is very popular now, so everyone loved the costume. Unfortunately I come off a little bitchy because with every photo I need to inform people not to touch me. When you wear latex you need to oil it up and that oil can cause damage to other clothing. One question I get a lot of is: “Is Latex hot?” It is hot, but it’s really no hotter than other fabrics. You don’t realize your sweating till you take off the latex, and it’s very easy to clean!
